About Lauren


Lauren graduated with a Master's in Education from the Faculty of Education at the University of Cambridge (UK) with an award of distinction in 2015. From 2008-2014, she was an English teacher and private English tutor in Tokyo, Japan. In that time, she taught hundreds of businesspeople how to communicate in English effectively and also taught courses in TOEFL, TOEIC, and IELTS preparation. 

 

During her undergraduate degree in psychology, she was awarded a $48,000 graduate scholarship from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Council of Canada (NSERC) for her research proposal in cognitive science. Her undergraduate thesis was awarded a Canadian Psychological Association Award of Excellence, and she also received the Ten Have Award for Most Outstanding Undergraduate Thesis in the Department of Psychology at the University of Manitoba. 

 

Lauren has extensive experience in writing and editing, and has been published in the International Journal of Psychology (2008) and the Journal of Cross-Cultural Psychology (2012). She holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Manitoba, and a TESOL diploma from TESL Canada.

 

She also has an ongoing professional relationship with several science laboratories in Japan to edit their manuscripts before submitting them for peer-reviewed publication. 

 

Since August 2019, she has been a proud member of the Association of International Graduate Admissions Consultants.
